Candidate for Boise City Council Debbie Lombard Bloom wants to keep citizen voices at the forefront of city planning and decision-making processes. Debbie listens and takes seriously what residents and organizations serving Boise are saying. Debbie is currently attending agency and city meetings to learn more about the issues facing residents and Boise city. As a life-long Boisean, Debbie Lombard Bloom celebrates our past while looking to the future. Debbie’s focus is on Safety – fire and police services; Transportation – Valley Regional Transit because Boise City recently committed to spending 5% of the general fund for Valley Regional Transportation, Debbie would like to help this partnership thrive by generating more ridership and looking at a fare-free bus system to help alleviate the growing roads congestion.

Debbie is a go-getter. Her accomplishments include owning a retail shop in Old Boise; marrying into the construction industry which lead her to a career path that offered her family stability and allowed her to focus on her now-adult children. Debbie understands small business and corporate work life – she’s worked in both.

Debbie’s been active in volunteerism her entire life, including Lowe’s Heroes; Festival of Trees; Opera Idaho; The Botanical Gardens; and The Shakespeare Festival. Debbie’s heart and business knowledge make her ready for public service; ready to represent us!

Debbie wants every city resident to have an opportunity to weigh in, to be heard, and to be able to make a difference. Debbie will advocate for more scrutiny of our city’s budget and reducing our citizen's property tax burden by reducing the budget while we are dealing with the increases in our property value. Debbie wants fiscal responsibility.

Let’s elect Debbie Lombard Bloom to Seat 5 so that a new voice provides improved vision and leadership based on our ideas!

Ernest Lombard, Eagle
