A Weiser woman has died after a collision involving a farm tractor, according to Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police investigated the crash right before 6 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 95 near milepost 79.5 in Washington County.

Police say Ismael Juarez, 48, of Mexico was driving north on the highway in a John Deere tractor pulling a farm implement when a 1995 Volvo sedan struck the rear of the implement.

The driver of the Volvo, 48-year-old Julie S. Walker, and her passenger, June M. Smith, 67, both of Weiser, were injured in the crash. Police say neither were wearing seat belts.

Smith was taken by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where she later later died from her injuries. The news release from ISP does not say when Smith died.

Walker was taken to Weiser Memorial hospital.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted ISP in the investigation.
