The woman who died on the Fourth of July in an apparent floating accident on the Payette River has been identified by the Gem County Coroner.
Misty Dawn Martin, 44, of Washington was the only reported fatality in the incident. Four other women were injured. One woman was taken to a hospital via Life Flight and three were taken to Valor Health in Emmett.
Martin's manner of death was a drowning, John Buck, Gem County coroner told the Idaho Press.
More information about the incident and the condition of the four other women has not been provided at this time.
The Gem County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident along the Payette River near the diversion dam east of the Washington Street Bridge Thursday afternoon.
