A 16-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized Tuesday morning after being struck by a pickup in the Boise Avenue/Linden Street intersection by Timberline High School. The 15-year-old driver was cited for inattentive driving.

Boise police Tuesday morning cited a 15-year-old boy after they say he struck another teen with his truck in southeast Boise.

The incident occurred about 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Linden Street and Boise Avenue near Timberline High School, according to a statement from the Boise Police Department. Officers believe the boy was trying to turn south onto Linden Street from Boise Avenue when he struck a 16-year-old boy in the crosswalk there. First responders took the pedestrian to the hospital for treatment to serious injuries, according to the release.
