Boise police have confirmed the 2-year-old boy reported missing early Friday morning is safe.
The boy, Bentley, was seen sleeping at a home about 1:30 a.m. in the area of West Regan Avenue and 24th Street, but a half-hour later his caretaker realized he was gone and the door was open, according to a news release from the Boise Police Department.
Police searched the area. When officers made contact with the boy’s mother, Mary McMahon, about 3:30 a.m. she told them the child is safe and is with her. At the time, police were unable to confirm that, but by about 10 a.m., they learned the boy and his mother were indeed safe, according to police.
