NAMPA — West Flamingo Avenue is closed again, just five days after reopening, because a domestic waterline has ruptured a second time.
The city of Nampa posted about the waterline break Tuesday morning on its Facebook page, announcing that West Flamingo Avenue was closed between North Cassia Street and North Middleton Road. The same road was previously closed on Aug. 30 because of a water main break, and reopened on Sept. 5.
Nampa spokeswoman Amy Bowman said problems continued despite earlier repairs, and city employees are evaluating the street now to figure out a permanent fix. She did not identify the cause of the water main break.
Bowman did not know how much the initial repairs cost, nor how much the new repairs would cost.
