MOUNTAIN HOME — A Mountain Home Air Force Base airman died while hunting in Elmore County, officials said Sunday.

Nathaniel A. Kibodeaux, 38, was found by friends along the Snake River on the Elmore County side near Grandview, according to the Elmore County Sheriff's Office.

Kibodeaux was on a duck hunting trip Saturday and was expected to return home by noon. The sheriff's office was notified on Sunday morning of an overdue hunter and began searching for Kibodeaux.

The airman's cause of death is still under investigation, but the sheriff's office said no foul play is suspected.

Kibodeauz is from the 366th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, according to officials with the Mountain Home Air Force Base.
