The kayaker who went missing on the Boise River earlier this month has been identified.

Tracy Demaree, a 63-year-old man from Boise, was identified Wednesday by the Ada County Coroner’s Office. Demaree was reported missing while kayaking in the Barber Park area on May 1, and his body was recovered on May 16. He was pronounced dead the same day; his cause and manner of death are both listed as pending.
