MERIDIAN — The Idaho State Police is looking for people who may have seen a crash early Monday morning on Interstate 84 in Meridian.

Police responded to the crash about 6:15 a.m. near milepost 45 in Meridian, according to a news release from the agency. Troopers say a 2004 Subaru Impreza, driven by Cody McDaniel, 26, of Parma, was driving west. The vehicle struck a 2019 Kia Sorento driven by Scott Richey, 44, of Nampa, according to the release. The two vehicles hit the median barrier, and the Subaru came to a rest in the far right lane. First responders took Richey and his passenger, Tiffany Richey, 41, to St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center for treatment to injuries, police say.

The highway’s far right lane was blocked for about an hour and a half, according to the release. The Idaho State Police is looking for witnesses to the collision. Those with information can call 208-846-7500, according to the release.
