NAMPA — Interstate 84 will be closed overnight between the Karcher and Northside interchanges on Monday and Wednesday as crews build the forms for laying the bridge deck on the Karcher overpass.
The forms will allow crews to safely pour the concrete deck of the bridge. Eastbound I-84 will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday. Westbound I-84 will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
A detour route will be in place. Motorists will exit I-84 at the interchanges and follow a detour along Karcher Road. Flaggers will direct traffic. In addition, overnight lane restrictions on I-84 will occur through late June. Lane restrictions will be in place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Work on the overpass is expected to be complete by early 2020.
