The Ada County Board of Commissioners unanimously denied the petition after two days of often emotional hearings and thousands of written and verbal testimony, mostly in support of the library.

Meridian Library District trustee, 4-year termIncumbent Josh Cummings defeated David J Tizekker with 68.3% of the vote.

Meridian Library District trustee, 6-year termIncumbent Destinie Hart defeated Xavier Torres with 68.4% of the vote.

Kuna Library District trustee, 6-year termBarb Powell defeated Teresa Haldorson with 58.1% of the vote.

Ada County Free Library District trusteeMary Anne Saunders (6-year term, 50.3% of the vote) and Sandra B. Taylor (4-year term, 57.2% of the vote) were victorious. Saunders held off Melodie C. Huttash and Renee L. Trommler while Taylor beat Deborah A. Pogue.
