BOISE — Boise police are still investigating a single-vehicle crash that apparently claimed one life on the Boise Bench Saturday.
Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Orchard Street and Fairview Avenue at about 4:25 p.m., according to a news release from the Boise Police Department.
Officers believe the vehicle was travelling east on Fairview Avenue when it veered into the westbound lanes.
After that, the vehicle continued through the intersection with Orchard Street at a high speed and struck a tree on the intersection’s northeast corner.
The driver, who was not identified, was the only person in the vehicle, according to the release. First responders took him to a local hospital, where police say he died of his injuries.
The Ada County Coroner has not yet publicly identified the driver or the cause of death.
