MIDDLETON — A body was found at about 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon in the Middleton Lake subdivision pond, according to Idaho State Police.
According to ISP officials, Christian Lepe’s family, who reported him missing Sunday, called Middleton Police for help with the search. While looking in his last known location, a body was found.
ISP has not confirmed the identity of the person and cause of death has not been determined.
An autopsy will take place Friday, and further details are expected to be released.
KBOI-TV reports Lepe, 39, was last seen by his car that was parked on the side of the road near Killarney Lakes and Ahsahka Way. Lepe’s car is a black Dodge Charger and was found in the same spot.
He was wearing dark blue jeans and a black button-up long sleeve shirt. Police describe him as 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, with some dark facial hair, according to KBOI.
Lepe has tattoos of “Natalia” and “Aislin” on his left forearm, and “Christian” and a crown on his right forearm.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Idaho State Police, who took over the case from the Middleton Police Department, by calling 846-7500.
Lepe’s wife declined to give a comment.
