The Boise Fire Department and the Garden City Police Department are still working together to find the person they believe may have intentionally set two grass fires Wednesday afternoon.
The fires burned along a canal bank between South Curtis Road and North Glenwood Street, according to a tweet from the Boise Fire Department. The first fire, which occurred at roughly 2:08 p.m. Wednesday, was nearer to South Curtis Road, while the second, which occurred shortly thereafter, was closer to North Glenwood Street.
The fires were small — both were less than a quarter of an acre in size, according to the tweets from the department.
Authorities would like to speak with anyone who has information about the fires, or who may have been in the area at the time. They can be reached at 208-343-COPS.
