MIDDLETON — A local developer is proposing to build a subdivision on 78 acres in Middleton.
WTW Development, LLC, in Middleton submitted an application for preliminary plat approval and rezoning. The property, at 23565 Hartley Lane, is near the Willis Road intersection and Middleton High School.
The proposed Stonehaven Subdivision would include 225 residential lots, ranging from 7,000 square feet to a half-acre. The original plan also included commercial development on about 12 acres, which was dropped after neighbors raised concerns, said project engineer Jay Walker, who is representing the developer.
The housing will be “upscale,” Walker said. He did not specify the potential price range.
“It will be market driven,” he said. “It also depends on how large the houses will be.”
A public hearing is scheduled before the hearing examiner at 7 p.m. Monday, April 9, at 6 N. Dewey Ave. in Middleton. The Planning and Zoning Commission will then make a recommendation to the Middleton City Council to approve or deny the application.
If approved, construction is expected to begin by June, Walker said.
