BOISE — A judge on March 6 sentenced an Ada County woman to a year and a half in prison after a jury in December convicted her of neglecting the elderly woman she served as a caregiver to, and having an elderly man cremated without his family’s knowledge.

Bruce Eugene Froman, 41, of Meridian pleaded guilty May 22 in U.S. District Court to attempted coercion and enticement, U.S. Attorney Bart M. Davis announced. As part of his plea, Froman also agreed to forfeit the cell phone used in the commission of the charged offense.
