Meridian High School is hosting the Idaho Showcase Invitational this weekend, a high school dance competition that is expected to bring in 400 competitors, according to a member of the Meridian High School dance team booster club.

The five major schools in the West Ada School District will participate, along with more than 10 other schools from Boise, Nampa, Caldwell and Twin Falls.

Meridian High's dance team will perform but won't be judged because the school is hosting the event. The school is at 1900 W. Pine Ave.
