KUNA 33, VALLIVUE 23: The Kavemen (3-3, 2-3) returned to .500 overall with a home victory. Vallivue fell to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the 4A SIC.

COLE VALLEY 56, MELBA 14: The Chargers (5-1, 2-1) cruised past Mustangs (2-3, 1-1) in a 2A WIC game at Mountain View High.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 27

VOLLEYBALL

MIDDLETON 3, KUNA 2

Middleton defeated Kuna in five sets. Scores were 25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Kuna won wire to wire in the third before a pair of back-to-back aces by sophomore outside hitter Courtney Weatherby tied the match at 2-2 to force a winner-take-all-fifth.

Weatherby paced Kuna with 14 kills, 18 digs and six aces. Junior outside hitter Ryann Halladay also had 14 kills, while junior setter Jessie Fouts chipped in with 24 assists for Kuna.

NAMPA CHRISTIAN 3, MELBA 0: Nampa Christian defeated Melba in three sets. Scores were 27-25, 25-14, 25-17.

MIDDLETON 5, KUNA 3

GIRLS SOCCER

KUNA 4, MIDDLETON 1: Emily Hardin scored two goals for Kuna, and Kayla Ponce and Hannah Hust each scored one goal for the team. Abby Furrow scored the sole goal for Middleton.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 25

BISHOP KELLY 3, KUNA 2: The Knights (6-3) held off Kuna (9-2) 25-23, 15-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-10 in a 4A SIC tri-match.

COLE VALLEY 3, MELBA 1: The Chargers (5-3, 3-1) fought off the Mustangs (8-3, 3-3) in a 2A WIC match.

Emma Clark led Melba with 18 kills and 33 digs.

MONDAY, SEPT. 24

GIRLS SOCCER

BISHOP KELLY 3, KUNA 1

The Knights (12-0 overall, 12-0 4A Southern Idaho Conference), had their toughest test of the season but still got by Kuna 3-1 in 4A SIC play.

Hannah Hust recorded the lone goal of the game for Kuna (9-3, 9-3 4A SIC).
