KUNA 3, EMMETT 0: Courtney Weatherby had seven kills, three aces and 11 digs as Kuna (13-3) swept the Huskies (3-13) 25-16, 25-13, 25-15 in the first round of the 4A District III Tournament.
Ryann Halladay added six kills and seven aces, while Hannah Calley chipped in with 10 digs in the win.
Kuna will play Bishop Kelly at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 in the semifinals.
Saturday, Oct. 13
MELBA 3, MARSING 0: Madisen Bunnell tallied 24 digs and five aces as the Mustangs (11-4 overall, 6-4 2A Western Idaho Conference) swept the Huskies (2-9, 0-9) 25-13, 25-21, 25-20 in league action.
Katelyn Young added 15 assists, Mary Ellen Cossel seven kills and Kate Clark six aces in the win for Melba.
Friday, Oct. 12
KUNA 59, CALDWELL 24: Kavemen quarterback Matthew Austin threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another, all in the first quarter alone, as Kuna (4-4, 3-4) cruised to a blowout victory.
Austin finished with five total touchdowns, three passing and two rushing, and led an offense that averaged exactly 10 yards per play. The Cougars (0-8) were led by Andres Begne’s 216 passing yards and three touchdowns. The Kuna defense limited Caldwell to a total of 14 rushing yards.
McCALL-DONNELLY 20, MELBA 19: The Vandals (5-2) earned a narrow victory on the road. Melba (3-4, 2-2) trailed 12-6 at halftime but could not complete the comeback.

MELBA 3, MARSING 1: Emma Clark had 10 aces, while Mary Ellen Cossel added nine kills as Melba won 19-25, 25-10, 26-24, 25-14 in 2A Western Idaho Conference play.
