More than 350 fiddlers will descend upon Weiser next week to compete in the National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest. The event is an Idaho favorite and has taken place since 1953.

Daily preliminary rounds run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and admission is $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children under 12; senior citizens are free. Tickets for nightly preliminary rounds, which start at 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, are $10 general admission or $12 reserved for adults $5-6 general admission or $8 reserved children. Tickets to the National Grand Champion Finals at 6 p.m. June 21 are $15 general admission or $18 reserved. Five-day passes, good Monday through Friday, are available for $50 for adults or $30 for children.
