St. Luke's and Saint Alphonsus are temporarily extending the compliance deadline for staff COVID-19 vaccination requirements in response to the activation of crisis standards of care.

The extension is in place only until crisis standards of care are no longer activated and the health system's internal hospital incident command system (HICS) activation level goes down, spokespeople from the respective health care providers said in emails to the Idaho Press.

According to St. Luke's Public Relations Coordinator Taylor Reeves, any team member who is unvaccinated will be required to complete COVID-19 testing twice a week.
