The Senate voted to suspend its rules to allow it to take up SB1350a, the House-amended Senate bill requiring a fiscal note and funding source for future voter initiatives. Sen. Patti Anne Lodge, R-Huston, said, “All this does is to concur with the amendments in the House, and the amendments in the House are to exempt cities and counties from a fiscal impact statement if they have an initiative process.”

The Senate then voted 27-4 in favor of the amended bill, sending it to the governor's desk.
