Boise Mall Shooter

Witnesses wait to talk with investigators outside the Boise Towne Square mall in the aftermath of a shooting that left three dead and four injured on Monday.

In today's continuing coverage in the Idaho Press of this week's deadly shooting at the Boise Towne Square mall, Idaho Press reporter Ryan Suppe writes that more information is emerging about the shooter, Jacob Bergquist, 27, of Boise,  who was known to law enforcement prior to the incident; and reporter Alexandra Duggan writes about family and friends remembering 26-year-old mall security officer Jo Acker, who was killed in the shooting.

In all, three people died, including Roberto Padilla Arguelles, 49, of Rupert; Acker; and the shooter; and four were injured, including a Boise Police officer. The investigation is continuing.

The Press's first-day coverage of the shocking events included this story by Suppe on what happened; reporter Carolyn Komatsoulis' story on what people at the mall experienced; and our report here on how Monday's shooting was tragic, shocking and rare.
