Gov. Brad Little today announced two appointments to the Idaho Fish & Game Commission, reappointing Derick Atterbury to represent the Upper Snake Region; and appointing Bradley Melton to represent the Clearwater Region. Melton replaces Dan Blanco of Moscow on the commission.
"I want to expressly thank Dan for his years of service with the Fish & Game Commission," Little said in a statement. "Filling a role on the commission is often a time-consuming and laborious task, and our commissioners should be recognized for their unwavering commitment to the people and wildlife of Idaho."
Commissioners serve four-year terms. Melton is a financial adviser from Lewiston who holds both bachelor's and master's degrees, and describes himself as a "lifelong outdoorsman" who is "passionate about fishing, hunting and outdoor recreation." Atterbury is an irrigation company operations manager from Idaho Falls who studied environmental science at Idaho State University and the University of Idaho.
