While school is still weeks away, special projects are underway throughout the Emmett High campus to improve and enhance athletic facilities.

One of the projects that has broken ground is the addition of storage lockers, a press box and concession stand at Pat Daniels Memorial Field. The baseball facility is getting a face lift in part due to funds received from the Cory Holm Heart and Hustle Memorial Softball Tournament.

This year’s co-ed adult softball tournament will be August 2-4 at the Emmett 12th Street Field. Sponsors and donations for auction items are still being accepted. Additional slots for teams are still available. Visit for additional details. All proceeds go to help improve the local youth athletic community and fund Cory Holm “Heart and Hustle” baseball scholarships at Treasure Valley Community College.

Signage throughout the campus is being spruced up.

EHS received a donation from the Payette River Regional Technical Academy (PR2TA) this summer. The charter school has provided Huskie athletics with an additional golf cart to help transport gear to the various event locations on campus.

Last week Boise High came to Emmett to participate in an informal 7 on 7 football scrimmage. The two teams mixed it up with a morning of the pass oriented game.

All fall and winter teams are holding open gym and open field activities this summer.
