In only its second year, the Cory Holm “Heart & Hustle” Co-ed Softball Tournament is turning up the heat. This year’s event will be staged August 2-4 at the 12th Street Field in Emmett and will again raise funds for local athletic youth programs and to fund the Holm memorial baseball scholarships at Treasure Valley Community College.

Event organizers have expanded the field this year due to demand from participants and as a result have three team positions still open. Teams desiring to participate or needing more information can visit coryholm.com or call/text Kari at 208-571-5737.

The tournament also features a silent auction and additional items for that aspect of the fundraiser are always welcome. In addition to baseball scholarships at TVCC the Holm foundation has targeted projects in the local youth athletic community to support.

Cory Holm played baseball for Emmett High and TVCC. The tournament was established a year ago to honor and remember the athlete who was the “Heart and Hustle” in everything he did. Holm died April 1, 2018 from complications resulting from a baseball injury suffered in the fall of 2012.
