Park and Ride Phase III

Construction crews began removing an RV dump located at the Park N Ride on the southwest corner of S. Johns and Highway 16 last week.

Construction crews moved forward with the third phase of enhancing the Park N Ride facility on Highway 16 last week. This stage of the enhancement work, funded by a grant from the Idaho Department of Transportation, will remove an old RV dump installation and widen and revamp the S. Johns entrance to the parking facility.

The RV dump being removed at the facility was not hooked up to city water and sewer and as a result the septic system being used could not handle the volume of waste being deposited. The City installed a full service RV dump on 12th Street at the Water Department complex several years ago to provide that service.

The dump removal does not directly effect the adjacent RV park as it is not equipped for anything other than water and power hookups with no waste connections. A bathroom facility will remain functional for use by the RV Park and the Park N Ride facility.
