Cowboys Chophouse up for “Indie” Award

The Wille family owns and operates Cowboys Chophouse. Kirk and Tammi Wille (forefront) and sons Dan and Kyle have owned and operated the Emmett steakhouse since January 2018.

Cowboys Chophouse in Emmett is one of twenty-five businesses nationally to make the quarterfinals for the 2019 Independent Small Business of the Year Award — “The Indie.” The local restaurant is the only business in Idaho included in the honor competition conducted by Independent We Stand, a national small business promotion organization.

The Wille family-owned steakhouse has been open at the corner of Washington and Main in Emmett for nearly two-years. You can find most of the family members there each evening greeting customers that come from through out the Treasure Valley and beyond.

Dan Wille manages the front of the house, including the full service bar, and brother Kyle manages the kitchen staff and food preparation. Parents Kirk and Tammi Wille are also often present to greet guests like family.

The Indie Award is a competition that presents its annual winner with a branding and marketing package valued at over $25,000. That winner will be announced Nov. 25 after voting concludes Nov. 17. Cowboys is the only restaurant among the 25 quarterfinalists and one of only three businesses located in the western U.S. All quarterfinalists receive an Independent We Stand Premium Membership for life.
