The annual meeting of the Gem County Historic Museum members will be taking a look at the history of bootlegging in Gem County. Not that bootlegging was isolated to Gem County but during the years of prohibition, it was a common aspect of society at all levels. That history will be explored along with some of the Gem County specific lore during the meeting, Tuesday, Jan. 17.
The meeting will get underway at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Membership in the Museum support organization will be discussed and new memberships are always welcome. The meeting will be held at the Gem County Historical Society and Museum at 501 E. First Street in Emmett.
