BOISE—Art Source Gallery is hosting a silent auction, “Art with a Heart,” during the first two weeks of February for the Safety Net for AIDS Program, or SNAP.
Local artists are creating works with themes of hearts and love to help our friends and neighbors with HIV/AIDS who are suffering financial emergencies. SNAP is a fundraising account established at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho that provides assistance with non-medical expenses.
The opening reception for “Art with a Heart” is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Art Source Gallery, 1015 Main St., and will feature a chance to place your bids, hear live music, munch on Valentine-themed snacks and enjoy wine from Indian Creek Winery.
Artworks will be displayed at the Gallery Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and viewers may bid in a silent auction through Friday, Feb. 11. Winning bidders will be able to pick up works Feb. 13 — 16. All proceeds are donated, with purchasers receiving a donation letter and artists receiving a record of the sale.
