With the weather warming delightfully and our lilac bushes in fragrant bloom, I’m loving every sunny day. The busy buzz of lawn mowers fills the air, and I’m digging out my summer outfits.

Happy news! Israel Tellez and Dustie Ward of Caldwell welcomed a new baby into the world on March 20. Because little Lucas Ramiro Tellez was the first baby born in Canyon County on National Agriculture Day, the Canyon County Farm Bureau gave the family $500 worth of gifts.

It’s time to announce the winners of the Nampa Musicale’s Junior Music Festival! Over 500 music students, studying under 33 teachers, competed in the festival this year. Points were accumulated during performances at Northwest Nazarene University and The College of Idaho.
