CALDWELL — The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council will sponsor Community Pride Day in Caldwell on April 26.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. at City Hall, citizens can help clean up graffiti, parks and Indian Creek, as well as plant flowers. Volunteers can enjoy coffee, juice and doughnuts in the morning and a pizza lunch next to the creek at noon.

Caldwell residents can leave extra items for curbside trash pickup from Monday to April 25. Republic Services will accept large and small household items including appliances, mattresses, televisions and more. Call Republic Services at 345-1265 to schedule pickup for large items or for information.

Pickles Butte Landfill will waive all fees April 26 for Canyon County residents from 8-12 p.m. Residents can dispose of one ton of household cleanup waste at no charge, up to four car/light truck tires, one refrigeration unit, batteries, metal, up to three gallons of used motor oil, five gallons of old paint or gasoline and general household items.
