Rocky Mountain Foot & Ankle is collecting shoe and sock donations through Dec. 31 for Interfaith Sanctuary, a homeless shelter in Boise.

Donation boxes are located at Rocky Mountain's offices in Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle and Meridian.

This is the first year the clinic has put on the "Sole Purpose" shoe and sock drive.

"The purpose of the shoe drive is so that no person is without a decent pair of shoes and socks. Proper footwear makes a huge difference in foot health," according to a press release from Rocky Mountain. "So many foot and ankle issues could be avoided with proper protection, support, and quality shoes and socks."

To pitch in, drop off a pair of new socks, new or gently used shoes or boots at one of Rocky Mountain's clinics, or donate to
