Walk or bike the Nampa and Caldwell greenbelts. The city of Nampa offers miles of existing pathways and has developed the bicycle pedestrian master plan for more pathways in the future. Nampa visitors will enjoy running, walking, in-line skating or bicycling on the Nampa Pathway System. Users should be aware that some of Nampa’s pathways have undeveloped areas. Pick up the complete city of Nampa parks and pathways map at the Nampa Parks and Recreation Department, 131 Constitution Way in Nampa or call 468-5858.
The recent improvement of a portion of Caldwell’s three-mile pathway along the Boise River in 2013 was the first of a proposed three-phase plan to enhance what has been a safe place for bicyclists and pedestrians to enjoy for more than 20 years. The Caldwell greenbelt went under more renovations last year to reconstruct the pathway on the northwest side of the river between the silver bridge and Chicago Avenue.
