Friday-Sun. (Nov. 6-8): Idaho Dance Theatre’s ‘Body Works’

Where you know them: Marla Hansen and Carl Rowe, artistic directors with Idaho Dance Theatre have brought some of Idaho's finest dancers and artists to the performance stage for the past two decades. Now in it's 21st season, Idaho Dance Theatre opens a new year with "Body Works."

Why you should go: The company is known for its use of interesting music, innovative ideas, extreme physicality and risk taking. Hansen debuts her newest work performed to contemporary bluegrass music while Rowe presents three works: "Caliente" which uses Afro-Caribbean music to create a hot dance piece; "Brothers," a dramatic dance exploring a range of male characteristics and energy; and a premiere dance to new music by Michael Nyman.
