BSU's Rosaaen named WAC Freshman of Year

RENO, Nev. — Boise State freshman Kevin Rosaaen picked up a fifth-place finish at the WAC Cross Country championship on Saturday, and was named the WAC Freshman of the Year.

Rosaaen was the top finisher for the Broncos' men's team, who earned a third-place team finish with 69 points. In addition to Rosaaen's All-WAC honors, Sawyer Bosch and Jeff Howard earned All-WAC second team honors, with 11th and 14th-place finishes, respectivly.

The women's team finished in sixth place, led by Shannon Porter. Porter finished sixth and was the only All-WAC runner for the Broncos.

Idaho's men's and women's teams placed fifth and fourth, respectively, with Markus Geiger (fourth, men) and Teegan Schoch (third, women) each getting All-WAC honors.

Broncos knock off Bulldogs

BOISE — The Boise State volleyball team won their fourth straight home match on Saturday, beating Louisiana Tech 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22. The Broncos (5-18, 5-6 WAC) kept their WAC tournament hopes alive with the win.
