As some of you may know, my older son, Luke, and I do Boy Scouts together. We’ve been in Boy Scouts for the past six years, having started in Cub Scouts when Luke was in second grade. Luke is now a Life Scout and has begun the process of working on his Eagle Scout project.

One of the levy scenarios being considered by the Nampa School District is a supplemental levy of $6.8 million. And, as many are now aware, 11 schools with the Nampa School District will now be providing both free breakfast and free lunch to all students.

I read the column by Christiana Marfice: “Finding and fixing myself in Idaho.” The headline drew me in, and I was curious to see what this young journalist had to say.
