CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — A judge has sentenced two gang members convicted for stabbing an 18-year-old man to death at an April party in Caldwell.

On Monday, District Judge Molly Huskey ordered 19-year-old Miguel Angel Talavera and 18-year-old Bobby Zepeda to spend at least 25 years in prison for the death of Victor Garcia. Both men will be eligible for parole after 10 years.

Both men were convicted of second-degree murder for their roles in the violent encounter. Investigators say Talavera and Zepeda confronted Garcia, then chased him for several blocks before stabbing him to death in a mobile home park.

Canyon County Prosecutor Bryan Taylor called the murder another case of senseless violence.
