NAMPA — The City Council will consider a resolution that would authorize an election to increase the number of council members from four to six at its regular meeting Monday.

Nampa Mayor Tom Dale said during his State of the City address that as the second largest city in Idaho, Nampa should look into adding two more council seats. Idaho code allows for either four or six council members, and Nampa has had four since its founding more than a century ago. Caldwell and Boise both have six city council members.

The Council will also consider a resolution for the fee structure for the Nampa Recreation Center and Parks and Recreation programs and services. There will be a public hearing on the fee structure and on the 2012 Utility Local Improvement District 154 assessment roll.
