BOISE — The funeral of U.S. Army Pfc. Shane G. Wilson of Kuna is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ten Mile Christian Church, 3500 W. Franklin Rd. in Meridian. The service is open to family, friends and well wishers. It will be immediately followed with a ceremony at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery.

Wilson’s remains will arrive on a charter aircraft from Dover Air Force Base today at Gowen Field.

The honorable transfer ceremony, in which the Army transfers a soldier’s remains to the family, is set for this evening.

Wilson, 20, died in Afghanistan on Oct. 18. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) out of Fort Campbell, Ky.
