NAMPA — Judge George Southworth Monday gave the Nampa School District permission to borrow money it needs to cover the “ordinary and necessary costs” to operate the district through the end of the fiscal year.

The district has been working to recover from a $4.3 million budget shortfall. It is also asking voters to approve a $4.3 million, one-year supplemental levy in March.

The Idaho Press-Tribune will have more details in Tuesday's paper.
