MERIDIAN — An Amber Alert was issued Friday afternoon after a 3-year-old girl was abducted from a Meridian daycare.

The alert was cancelled a short while later after the girl was located. She is now safely in the custody of her mother, Meridian Police said.

The girl had been taken from a Meridian day care by a noncustodial grandparent.
