ADA COUNTY — Two vehicles collided on Hwy. 16 near Pollard Thursday morning, resulting in one injury, Ada County Sheriff's Office authorities said.

The driver of a Chevrolet Malibu lost control and sideswiped a pickup truck, officials said in a prepared statement. The Malibu spun into the middle of the road and stopped, blocking both lanes of traffic. The pickup went off the road. The accident has since been cleared and all lanes are moving.

The Malibu's driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The pickup's driver was not injured. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Idaho State Police officials were unable to respond to inquiries due to the high volume of traffic incident.
