- Idaho Smart Growth recently announced the addition  of Sherry McKibben, Laurie Barrera, and Michelle Groenevelt to the board. McKibben, the 2009 President’s award winner, is a University of Idaho associate professor of architecture and director of the University’s Urban Research and Design Center (IURDC) in Boise. Barrera is a business woman who is affiliated with Group One Real Estate and is 2011 President of the Ada County Association of Realtors. Groenevelt is the Community Development Director for the city of McCall and a past Grow Smart Award recipient. 

- West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell also has announced several promotions and new team members:

Michaela Schulte, MD, is a new  infectious disease specialist available for consultations at West Valley Medical Center and infectious disease outpatient appointments at West Valley Medical Group – Caldwell. Schulte also is a hospitalist for APOGEE Physicians at West Valley Medical Center. She is board-certified in internal medicine and infectious disease.

Nanette Byerly, RN, is the new Women’s Unit director at West Valley. Nanette promotes the Women’s Unit services through management of nursing services related to labor and delivery, nursery, post-partum and gynecological surgery patient care.

Kevin Worley, RN, is the new Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit director at West Valley Medical Center. His duties include day-to-day operations of the unit, staff development and quality assurance/improvement.

Nikki Wattier, RN, is the new Bariatric/General Surgery Service Line coordinator. In her new role, Wattier provides support for general surgery, Lap-Band and acid reflux surgery patients throughout pre- and post-operation care.

- Jennifer Opsut recently became the area market practice manager for the West Valley Medical Group clinics in Caldwell, Nampa, Wilder, Middleton, Parma and New Plymouth. The clinics are directly affiliated with West Valley Medical Center.

- Randy Dodd is the new  business development manager for Wright Brothers, The Building Company.

Dodd  has extensive experience in sales, marketing, business relations and management. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University and has been involved in the building industry for more than 20 years, giving him a broad range of knowledge.
