CALDWELL — The eighth-annual Treasure Valley Night Light Holiday Parade and Celebration is set for Saturday in Caldwell.

The event begins with an open house featuring Santa Claus at the Caldwell Fire Department, located on the corner of 7th Avenue and Blaine Street, from 2 to 4 p.m.

A Battle of the Bands, a new addition to the celebration, is scheduled for 4 p.m. at O’Connor Field House, Blaine Street and 22nd Avenue.

The famous parade, expected to draw about 10,000 people, will begin at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is “Christmas in Toyland,” and KBOI Channel 2 News anchor Natalie Hurst will serve as grand marshal. The parade route runs along Blaine Street from Georgia Avenue to 5th Avenue.
