NAMPA — Local Broncos fans filled the seats and the dining room at Elliott's Sports Pub & Grill in Nampa as the Boise State team took on the Nevada Wolf Pack Friday night.
The tension rose a bit as Nevada scored with just seconds remaining before the half, but most fans were happy with the way the game was going as they prepared for halftime prizes and giveaways.
Norm and Marianne Baker said they've made a habit of coming to Elliott's with their "rooting group," made up of friends they've made while cheering on the Broncos. As she sat with friends Howard and Brandi Surber and Tawnya White, Marianne said that she's hoping for a Bowl Championship Series bowl game for the Broncos this year.
Melissa Ineck was also feeling happy about the prospects for a bowl game while watching.
"I don't care which one they go to," she said.
