Man in critical condition after being hit by car in Nampa

NAMPA — A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Nampa. Nampa Police Sgt. Joe Martinez said the accident happened just after 7:30 p.m. Monday near the intersection of 11th Avenue North and 3rd Street North.
The pedestrian was identified as a male in his forties and he was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.
The crash is still under investigation. At this point investigators know that the vehicle was headed north on 11th Avenue North and the pedestrian was walking east across 11th Avenue North near 3rd Street North. No charges have been filed at this time.
Nampa Police, Nampa Fire, Canyon County Paramedics and the Idaho State Police all worked together on lifesaving measures and the accident investigation, Martinez said.
