NAMPA — A temporary water outage will affect three city blocks in Nampa Sunday while crews replace two broken valves.

Nampa Waterworks will turn off the water at 9 a.m. Oct. 7 while crews replace the valves on a downtown water main. Crews hope to have the work complete by noon, but it may go longer if they run into unforeseen issues.

The temporary water outage will affect businesses and residents on the Library Square block; the block bordered by 2nd and 3rd streets south and 13th and 14th avenues south; and the block bordered by 3rd and 4th streets south and 13th and 14th avenues south.

Waterworks employees will try to contact homes and businesses affected by the outage.
