Danger Season Pajama Drive

November 1, 2009 – “Danger Season” for the children is here. “Danger Season” starts October 1st and continues through March 31st. This is the coldest time of year for the children served by Pajama Program whose purpose is giving new pajamas and new books to children in need all year long. “We want to ensure as many children as possible will be warm at bedtime as the temperatures drop,” said Tanya Ambler, Chapter President in Idaho.

The Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need. These children live in shelters and group homes and are shuffled between temporary living facilities. Many of them have been abused or abandoned, and have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother tuck them in at bedtime and read to them. Since 2001 we have provided more than 400,000 pajamas and 180,000 books to children in need nationwide.

We are now holding a Danger Season Pajama Drive to be able to provide all our children in need with new cozy pajamas and a book by the holidays. All Bank of the West locations throughout the state are accepting donations. Please drop off new pajamas and books at these locations from November 1st through December 1st.
