BOISE - Jay Ajayi rushed for four touchdowns as Boise State downed Air Force, 42-20.

Ajayi had a career-high 125 yards on 17 carries.

Ajayi's third score puts Boise State up 35-20

Jay Ajayi's third rushing touchdown of the game has given Boise State a 35-20 lead midway through the fourth quarter.

Ajayi has a career high 119 yards on 15 carries. 

Air Force gets to within 28-20 on field goal

Two Boise State turnovers in the second half have kept Air Force in the game, and the Falcons just cut the Broncos' lead to 28-20 early in the fourth quarter with a 24-yard field goal.

The drive started after an interception in the end zone by quarterback Joe Southwick on a tipped pass.

Ajayi touchdown extends Boise State lead to 28-17

Jay Ajayi's 35-yard touchdown run has given Boise State a 28-17 lead over Air Force with 3:59 to play in the third quarter.

Ajayi fumbled twice on the previous drive and lost the second one but was inserted right back into the game to start the next drive.

Southwick's rushing TD puts Broncos up 21-17 at half

Joe Southwick's first career rushing touchdown, a one-yard scamper, put the Broncos up 21-7 over Air Force at the half.

Southwick, who is 15-for-16 for 152 yards and a touchdown through the air, also has 21 rushing yards on three attempts. He scored with 24 seconds left in the half.

Neither punter has been used as the two teams have combined for points on each of the six total drives.  

Jay Ajayi has seven carries for 52 yards and a touchdown for Boise State while Matt Miller has seven receptions for 81 yards. 

Air Force has run 34 running plays and one passing play so far. But the pass was a completion for 53 yards that helped set up their second touchdown.

Falcons quarterback Jaleel Awini has 16 rushes for 87 yards to lead the Air Force ground attack.

Air Force takes 17-14 lead

A one-yard touchdown run by Air Force quarterback Jaleel Awini put the Falcons up 17-14 on Boise State with 6:20 left in the second quarter.

Air Force has two touchdowns and a field goal on it's three drives tonight, moving the ball with ease against the Boise State defense. They have 33 rushing attempts to one passing attempt so far, but the pass was a completion of 53 yards that set up the latest touchdown.

Awini has 16 carries for 87 yards. 

Ajayi gives Broncos 14-10 lead

Jay Ajayi's 20-yard touchdown run has put Boise State up 14-10 early in the second quarter. 

Air Force takes 10-7 lead

A 17-play, 59-yard drive that ate up 8:38 on the clock results in three points for the Air Force Falcons, who took a 10-7 lead on a 33-yard field goal with 13:11 remaining in the second quarter.

Boise State is about to get the ball for the second time in the game with the second quarter already underway. 

Broncos tie it up 7-7

Joe Southwick's nine-yard touchdown pass to Kirby Moore evened the score at 7-7 with 6:49 remaining in the first quarter.

The Broncos responded to an early Air Force touchdown with a 10-play, 71-yard drive to tie the game.

Air Force takes early 7-0 lead

A one-yard run by Air Force quarterback Jaleel Awini has given the Falcons a 7-0 lead with 10:42 remaining in the first quarter.

Air Force won the opening toss and elected to receive. Helped by a 15-yard personal foul on Boise State defensive tackle Tyler Horn for roughing the passer, the Falcons put together a nine-play, 75-yard drive in 4:18 to take the lead.

Huff out with injury

Boise State tight end Holden Huff will not play in tonight's game against Air Force due to an undisclosed injury. 

He's the only known player that won't play against the Falcons.

Broncos set to open Mountain West play

The Boise State Broncos will host the Air Force Falcons tonight at 6 p.m. in a nationally televised ESPN matchup at Bronco Stadium.

The Broncos will be back in the all-blue uniforms on the blue turf for the first time as a member of the Mountain West. More on the uniform situation and why they couldn't wear them the past two years can be found below.

As far as the action on the field, the two teams met once previously in 2011, when the heavily favored Broncos struggled to stop the Air Force offense but won 37-26.
